Surely there must be short articles on complex issues that are unbiased, right?
If you are like most Americans, you’ve given up trying to be informed about political issues. Maybe you’ve lost faith that any information source can be unbiased. Or maybe you’re just overloaded – because staying informed can feel like a full-time job these days!
Some good news: there actually are some news sources specializing in providing balanced views click
here for a few. These
can be helpful.
But then we asked, what if?! What if small diverse teams of everyday Americans could take Deep Dives into complex topics? And what if each diverse team looked from many angles, and then what if they could share what they learned. Oh, what a gift that would be to millions of other everyday Americans who hunger for morsels of truth! A gift, because constructive disagreement is really hard work, and takes time, like their very own “tour of duty.”
What would these small diverse teams find? Here are several real examples. Why don’t you give one a test drive? They are short, just 2 or 3 pages, and written by everyday Americans* for everyday Americans like you and me.
*These everyday Americans are from South Carolina and call themselves Crosscurrents. Since 2019, they have pioneered these Reports. We’re working together to turn 7 into our “moonshot” of 555 for Jan 22, 2025!
